Christmas tree skirt wedges

I finished several Christmas tree skirt wedges over the last several weeks. The first wedge shown is Leslie's. Her's is a unique shape.






The next wedge that I finished is Marie's and is pictured below.

Beautiful. do you sew the wedges together or sew them onto a base wedge by wedge?
